“The most rewarding things in life come from helping others. Let me assist you with your next Real Estate venture.”
Born in New York city, I have been a Malibu/Westside resident for the past 40 years.
I am fluent in Spanish & Italian with a working knowledge of French. I completed my undergraduate degree at UCLA in International Relations & have a JD from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law. I thoroughly enjoy working with people & am passionate about Real Estate.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, classical music & good food.
Malibu resident and independent real estate appraiser for over 25 years, Kathie has a broad based knowledge of the real estate market on the Westside. Her focus is on representing buyers and sellers of residential property and vacant land. A strong networking background with both county and city officials has given her unique expertise in land development potential in Malibu, Topanga and neighboring areas.
I first moved to Malibu in 1964, at the age of 2. My parents, who were active Real Estate Brokers in the San Fernando Valley, had a deep love for Malibu, renting summer homes on the beach throughout the 1950’s. In fact my dad was closing escrow on the purchase of their first beach house the day I was born. I grew up in the business, with real estate conversations and more than a few transactions occurring right at our dining room table. Some of my family’s closest friends were originally clients of my folks. After graduating from Pepperdine (B.A. Economics ’87), I worked in Ecuador and Chile in the field of education. I later started an import-wholesale jewelry business that I have owned and operated since 1990, that I still maintain on a seasonal basis.
I am a fluent Spanish speaker, having left Malibu to live in Uruguay from 2006-2012 where I conducted 10 real estate transactions as a principal. Back home, among friends and family I look forward to applying and incorporating my sales, entrepreneurial, customer service and language experience with my personal knowledge of Malibu as I embark on my new career at Pritchett-Rapf Realtors.
I am eager to help others discover what I learned in my world travels: There’s no place better than Malibu!
I have been licensed as a real estate salesperson and broker for over 40 years. My career began with Coldwell Banker’s Brentwood office. In the early 70’s, I chose Malibu as my specialty area and continued to focus on the Westside due to the growing number of beach properties that were owned by clients that span from Beverly Hills to Pacific Palisades. I purchased a second home in 1974 on Carbon Beach, when paradise became my permanent residence in 1975.
Over the years, my expertise includes sales and management with Westside companies (Coldwell Banker, Tim Corliss Co., George Elkins Co., and Mike Glickman Co.) I was also instrumental in developing a “Video Home Tour” company for the filming of homes from Malibu to the Westside. In the late 90’s, I decided to “work at home” with Jim Rapf and Jack Pritchett. I remain living on Carbon Beach and look forward to assisting you with all your real estate needs.
Melding Real Estate skills with experience in residential and equine facility design provides a dynamic approach to Anne’s Real Estate career. Having learned the art of listening to her clients in order to ascertain their needs when she worked as an Architectural Designer, Anne realizes that each individual has unique lifestyle needs.
Horses have long been a passion for Anne and she currently owns four Andalusians. Anne believes that Malibu is perfect because of the numerous equestrian properties and extensive riding trails that Malibu has to offer…not to mention the incredible climate! Malibu is a unique mix of beaches and mountains; close in proximity to Los Angeles, but so removed from the “Big City” in spirit.
Anne understands that your quality of life is probably most influenced by the home in which you live. Finding the “perfect match” in a property for her clients has been a continuing passion.
So many Realtors…why Kirk? Because Malibu is approximately 27 miles of Coastline consisting of many different types of beach properties and beaches, along with many different types of neighborhoods on the land side of Pacific Coast Highway, our main artery.
For a client to receive knowledgeable and reliable information regarding all the different types of properties and the different nuances of the beaches and neighborhoods, it’s imperative to work with someone that has longstanding roots and experience in the community and profession.
I was born in Santa Monica and have been living in Malibu, full-time, for over 34 years. I have been working in the local Real Estate business since 1986. (I can’t believe it’s been that long!) In that time, I have received numerous accolades for high volume production selling everything the market of Malibu has to offer. I am consistently a top producer for my firm, and I have a long list of satisfied clients including business owners and financial advisors/managers, attorneys, doctors, and of course in Malibu, celebrities. I feel it is so important to have the knowledge and experience to help a client through the emotional and sometimes stressful process of finding their dream home in Malibu. I am dedicated to that process from initial viewing of properties through the negotiation period, to the close of escrow and beyond…always keeping in touch, even after the closing of escrow to ensure satisfaction for everyone.
Call me for your Real Estate needs. I guarantee you will be glad you did.

–We Highly Recommend Shelly.
We highly recommend Shelly Yrigoyen. She is the Malibu Realtor Queen. Shelly was our buying agent for a home we purchased in Malibu last year. Living in the South Bay for quite some time, we did not know what to expect buying a home in Malibu. Shelly was very knowledgeable of the area. She assisted us in identifying pockets of neighborhoods we should also consider, in addition to providing suggestions on restaurants, hospitals, and schools. When we got into escrow, she was a tremendous help with recommending inspectors, plumbers, contractors for work we might need done, septic tank systems, and even tenting for termites. She knew just about everyone. She is the one-stop-shop for any real estate transaction. She is the most organized and trustworthy agent we have ever had. We’ve worked with quite a few agents in the past, and most of them were sales oriented, non-genuine, and frankly just want to make a buck. For example, I was overseas during our escrow transaction and she was able to accommodate me with emails and off hour calls and ensure that things were being handled even though I was thousands of miles away. She will set you up with your own personalize MLS and touch base with you frequently. She not only goes above and beyond her call of duty, it’s the personal touch Shelly has that separates her from all the other agents. I would highly recommend Shelly to anyone of my friends and clients in a heartbeat. I know and trust that she will take care of all of her clients. She will pull for you to get the best deal or offer on the table. She puts herself and her reputation on the line when she represents you. The genuine nature in Shelly, and her knowledge of the ins and outs of real estate is what sets her aside. – Krysti S & David D
–Shelly was with every step of the way.
Shelly was with us every step of the way in selling our old home and buying our new one. She always kept us informed of what we needed to prepare, the next steps we’d need to complete, and potential responses from the buyer on our first transaction and the seller on our second transaction. She provided the professional experience we came to count on, as well as the psychological support that is necessary during what can become an anxiety producing process. Shelly became a cherished part of the family, and we are forever grateful to her for her wisdom, candor, and availability. We love our new home and plan to remain living in it for many years to come. But if we ever need a Realtor again, Shelly will be hearing from us.” – Michelle and Marc L
—Organized and Enthusiastic
Working with Shelly as my agent was a truly wonderful experience. She is kind, honest, responsive, and made the moving process a joy.I found any anxiety or stress that I had during the transition was alleviated due to Shelly’s knowledge and professionalism. It is so rare to find people who are not only extremely organized and enthusiastic, but truly enjoy what they do. Phone calls and emails returned promptly, contracts done on time, every question answered, and always with a smile. There was never a doubt that I was in good hands, and I would highly recommend her skills to anyone! I feel very grateful to have met Shelly. – Erin C
–Poignant and Professional
Shelly devoted an overabundance of time and effort into making my real estate transaction a success. She provided professional opinions and was instrumental in making the right decisions for closing the deal. Most people probably can’t say that they miss working with their Realtor. That is not the case with Shelly. She is driven. She is energetic and has a great sense of humor. Shelly is poignant and professional. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience or a better Realtor. – Matthew A
